Shifa Surgery Ltd actively take part with other organisations and Services to provide the right care at the right time for the people in the community. 

Please take a look at this page for all the different services available in Blackburn with Darwen to gain the right help and support. 

We also take part in supporting local religious establishments, Hospices, Foodbanks as well as supporting the Local Council in a regular Clean-Ups in the vicinity. 

  • If you wish to support us on a voluntary basis in supporting these projects, please come and speak to us. We are also open to ideas of holding coffee mornings or support groups to help you interact with the right professionals.

PAPYRUS

Are you a parent of a child in a Secondary School in BwD?

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide are currently conducting a project within Blackburn with Darwen. The aim of this project is to address and prevent suicide, self-harm and bullying in Secondary Educational Settings. 

As part of this project they are offering free training for parents and carers. There are 2 types of sessions available:

  • Parent/Carer sessions: This will last up to 45 minutes and will include our SP-ARK (Suicide Prevention-Awareness, Resources, Knowledge) presentation. 
  • SP-OT (Suicide Prevention-Overview Tutorial): A 90-minute session that explores the language around suicide.
